The Eagle and the Hawk
I am the eagle, I live
in high country,
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky,
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers,
But time is still turning, they soon will be dry,
And all those who see me, and all who believe in me,
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly!
Come dance with the
And touch all the mountain tops,
Sail o'er the canyons, and up to the stars,
And reach for the heavens, and hope for the future,
And all that we can be, not what we are.
— John Denver
We are involved in, and open to almost all types of model aviation including glow, gasoline and electric powered fixed wing aircraft, model helicopters and multicopters, conventional and electric sailplanes. Lately a few of us have been dabbling in FPV with both fixed wing and multirotor aircraft. Some friendly FPV racing is probably in our future.
If you are interested in model aviation in any way you will be welcome at Hunting Creek. We are located between Wilkesboro, NC and Statesville, NC just off of Hwy. 115 on Hunting Creek Road. This is a wide open farming area with plenty of area to fly. The field is club owned, and we have nice facilities, including electric power on site.
We bring people of all ages together who share a common interest, to bond and create friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Find out more about becoming a member of Hunting Creek RC. We meet regularly to discuss upcoming events, finalize plans and make important association decisions. All members are welcome to join. Check the event schedule now.
